The Women's Opportunity Fund has made a powerful impact in the lives of thousands of impoverished women and their families over the last four years. The accomplishments and the strength of the program are a direct reflection of the vision, ability and commitment of the Women's Fund leaders.

Playing an important role in the organization's leadership is a group of supporters called the Board of Governors. The charge of the Board of Governors is to raise funds, build awareness and provide leadership in order to support the Women's Opportunity Fund. Governors serve a key role in leveraging new loan funds through a personal or raised gift of $1,500 or more.

Involvement with the Board of Governors is a means for those who are committed to the ideals of the Women's Opportunity Fund to lend leadership and direction without a mandatory commitment of time. It provides new opportunities for supporters to learn more about the organization, and consider further involvement and leadership possibilities.

If you would like more information on the Board of Governors please call the Women's Opportunity Fund office at

(630) 279-9300, extension 215.

Thank you for your continued support of the Women's Opportunity Fund and its efforts to renew hope and make a difference in lives throughout the world.

"These women have ideas of how to improve their lives, but ideas without resources to realize them are useless. The loans they receive through their Trust Banks allow for these ideas to become reality. With God's help, this program will extend as far as possible." - Gloria Corona Cuxil - Guatemala

"When you arrive at a house where the people live in misery and have absolutely nothing and you deliver their loans to them, you might think that they will just eat the money you've given them and not do anything worthwhile with it. To see the difference that they do make with that small amount of money is like witnessing a rebirth - it's almost as if you're helping to give birth to them. Before they had a negative attitude and a spirit of despair; now they have enthusiasm and feel capable of working. - Niove Maloney, Dominican Republic
